The Fibonnacis bought new shoes for the Little League team. They found the shoes at a 25% off sale. The shoes originally cost $28.95.

a) How much did they save on each pair?

b) How much did they pay for each pair?

c) What was the total cost for ten pairs of shoes?

d) Sales tax is 7.5%. How much was the tax on the ten pairs of shoes?

e) What was the total cost for the ten pairs of shoes?

How far have you gotten on these?
What don't you understand about them?

Multiply original cost by sale percentage.

Subtract a) from original cost.

Multiply b) by 10.

Well, that's a dirty trick. You didn't say there was tax. This makes b) and c) wrong. You go fix them.

Shouldn't this be the same as c)?
