Can you please help with these problems?

a) Find the point of intersection of the lines 3x-y-7=0 and x+5y+3=0?

Also..
how to solve 5^x+1=25 and 1/3=3^2x+2 without using a calculator?

Hey, this is not a Calculus question. Post it on an Algebra forum. And you'll solve this by solving for y on one of the equations given. Then subsitute it in the other question. :D

Okay, I moved it. And corrected the notation.
Make the bases the same then the exponents will be equal.

5^(x+1)=25
5^(x+1)=5^2
(x+1)=2

1/3=3^(2x+2)
3^(-1)=3^(2x+2)
(-1)=(2x+2)
