Really Simple Slope Determination

Well, its really easy, just determine the slope from the 2 points given. Thats what i thought until i reached the end of the section. The question was:

(1/2,3/4) (2/3, 3/8)

After applying lowest common multiples, i subtracted.

Steps:

1. 3/8-3/4=-3/8
2. 2/3-1/2=1/6

So then the slope would be (-3/8)/(1/6) but my teacher would hardly accept that so once again, i applied least common multiples after i comverted those 2 into (-9/24)/(4/24). I multiplied both by 36 to get:

-13.5/6 and i doubled that to 27/12.

So would the slope i ended up at-(27/12)-be correct?

When you're dividing by a fraction, you flip-n-multiply. For instance:

. . . . .(1/4) ÷ (2/5) = (1/4) × (5/2) = 5/8

Follow that procedure with your exercise.
