Perform the indicated operation

_____ ____
\/50t^2 - t\/ 288

my math books stinks. Is there any web sites that are great for helping teach these things with Radicals that anyone knows either???? Thank you to everyone who helps on this web page. It sure is appreciated by millions I bet!

Please reply with clarification. If your expression includes square roots, please indicate with the "sqrt()" notation, so, for instance, "the square root of x squared plus four" would be written as "sqrt(x2 + 4)". If these are cube roots, use "cbrt()". If fourth roots, "4th-rt()", and so forth. And please be sure to use grouping symbols to specify exactly what is inside which root.

Thank you.

sorry

My code skills are limited. Here goes:

sqrt of 50t^2 minus txsqrt of 288

answer in book is -7t sqrt of t
Thanks.

Okay, this is where those grouping symbols I asked you to use would have come in handy. Do you mean:

. . . . .sqrt(50)t2 - tx sqrt(288)

...or:

. . . . .sqrt(50t2) - tx sqrt(288)

...or:

. . . . .sqrt[50t2 - tx]sqrt(288)

...or:

. . . . .sqrt[50t2 - tx sqrt(288)]

...or something else? Please reply with clarifications. Thank you.

thank you

I figured the problem out. I also found out to just use \/ when I describe square roots. I am grateful for all you help me with!
