Calculate speed

Please help me with word problem to calculate speed for 2 problems:

1. Train travels 80 miles in 55 minutes in miles per hour.

2. Around the world 24,000 miles in 216 hours miles per hour.

This is how it's worded so bear with me.

1) How many minutes are in an hour? So for how much of an hour, expressed in fraction form, did the train travel?

Divide the total distance by the total number of hours. Simplify to get "miles per hour".

2) Divide the miles by the hours to get "miles divided by hours".

Train travels 80 miles in 55 minutes in miles per hour

speed = distance / time

distance = 80 miles
time =( 55/60 ) hour

now do the math.....
