This is a promblem I feel a little stressed out by:

(clear the parentheses)

-(y^2-2y+5)

For me it's really hard...

You need the Distributive Property of Multiplication over Addition

a*(b+c) = a*b + a*c

It works for more than 2

a*(b+c+d) = a*b + a*c + a*d

A negative sign hanging out in front means a = -1

-(y^2-2y+5) = -y^2 + 2y - 5
