ok i have a problem that is like the other one but its kinda confusing
can you help

heres the problem

3(x+1)=10
I kinda understand it but i don't think that i got it.

Solving an Equation

In the problem 3(x+1)=10, you must solve for your variable x, x is being added to 1, x and 1 are unlike terms and therefore can't be added. Instead you must distribute the 3, which leads you to 3x+3=10. Now isolate the variable, subtract 3 from each side, this leaves you with 3x=7. Now x is being multiplied by 3 so you must divide each side by 3 to get x alone. You should come out with x=7/3.
