translating verbal expressions to mathematical expressions

Since there is no verb ("is", "equals", "is so many less than", etc), there is no way to turn this into an equation. The best you can do is translate this into an expression. Sorry.

Eliz.

Sum means: add

two thirds means: (2/3)

of means: times

two thirds of n means: (2/3) * n = (2/3)n

n = 1n = (3/3)n

Equation

(2/3)n + n = (5/3)n

Edit:Stapel is correct you are probably expected to write the expression:

(2/3)n + n
