I am to Simplifying Rational Expressions

I am stuck with this one 9x^2 + 6x + 1 / 1 - 9x^2

can someone help me out?

You have posted:

. . . . .9x2 + 6x + (1/1) - 9x2

I will assume you meant:

. . . . .(9x2 + 6x + 1)/(1 - 9x2)

Factor the numerator and denominator, and cancel the common factor.

(It might help if you factored a "-1" out of the denominator first, and factored the difference of squares. This will give you a hint of what to look for in the numerator.)

If you get stuck, or if I misinterpreted your meaning (for which I apologize in advance), please reply with corrections and/or clarifications, showing how far you have gotten. Thank you.

Eliz.
