just wandering if anyone has the time to respond, after algebra does it get much difficult or is the learning process pretty much the same, study hard and youll eventually get it? are there any brick walls you might have hit ?

thanks

Im only a calculus student but math has gotten much cooler after algebra. You can really start see it applications for real life type problems. It is still hard stuff when your new to it... practice. The only walls ive hit are the ones where i realized i didnt study a topic from algebra or trig well enough and had to go back and fix my foundation. Best tip i have is, if your planning to move on, learn the stuff now! you will save so much time and headachs in the future if you do so. You have to know algebra/trig really well to be successfull later on.

Eventually you have to switch...

Algebra -- Work 200,000 problems and you'll get it.
Single Variable Calculus -- Work 10,000 problems and you'll probably get it.
Multi-Variable Calculus -- You CAN'T see it any more. Much more abstract.
Geometry -- Must learn how to think. That is very different.
Abstract Algebra -- Not much calculating going on. Proving stuff full time.
