Explain the similarities between radicals and rational exponent notation.
Provide at least two other examples of mathematical notation or wording denoting the same process.

Not a teacher or an exam

This is a problem on an assignment that I need to get an A on and am having trouble finding info. Pleaaaaaase Help!

You must be in my class because I posted the same question. I've been trying to find the answer for 3 days now and our book is no help to me.

My book is of no help either and the assignment is due by midnight on Saturday. :(

Doesn't the second sentence provide the answer to the first sentence? The similarity is, they are the same process.

For the second, how many ways can you denote division?
Code:
                                __________
The long division algorithm -- b)a
The division symbol -- a ÷ b
The fraction thing -- a/b

I think I was doing my homework incorrectly. I got most of the first part but when I put examples in, I put examples of how it is used in real life. Argghhh. This class is killing me.
