A caterer charges a fixed cost for preparing a dinner plus an additional cost for each peaple served. You know that the cost for 100 students will be $750 and the cost for 150 studenats will be $1050. Find the caterer's fixed cost and the cost per student served.
$1050 total cost fir 150 students
$750 total cost for 100 students
=$300 cost for 50 students = $6.00 per students ($300 Divided by 50)
If total cost to serve 100 students =$750 and cost per student $6 then total for 100 students = $600 flat rate=$150 (750-600)
150 students-$900 =$150 (1050-900)
I don't know how to show this work by using a problem solving equation.

You almost wrote it. Fixed = f. Per student = s.
f+100s = 750
f+150s = 1050
