This is one of my math test problem.i'd tried to figure it out but i got lost.Can you show me the steps to doing this problem.

square root of 3x-2=7

We probably shouldn't be doing your test for you. It would likely be better if you showed what you'd done when you "tried to figure it out", and we can help you check for errors.

When you reply showing your work, please correct your formatting. As posted, the equation is:

. . . . .\(\displaystyle \large{\sqrt{3}x\,-\,2\,=\,7}\)

...but I have a feeling you mean something like:

. . . . .\(\displaystyle \large{\sqrt{3x}\,-\,2\,=\,7}\)

...or:

. . . . .\(\displaystyle \large{\sqrt{3x\,-\,2}\,=\,7}\)

A good first step would be to combine the non-radical terms together on the right-hand side. Then square both sides, and solve.
