I have doubts about what is an "outcome". Since they say it is two odd numbers my first thought was that x and y are both odd, but they could also mean the sum is a two digit number, both who's digits are odd. I dunno  That seems to be roy's reading of it. PKE now seems to go along with the first.

The numbers showing on both dice are odd and their sum is at least eight:
(3,5), (5,3) and (5,5).
