You have a penny,a nickel,2 dimes, and a quarter in your pocket. You pull one coin out at random. Tell whether the events are mutually exclusive. Then give the probability as a fraction and a percent.

3. P (dime or coin with value that is a multiple5)

My answer is 7/5,75%,and mutually exclusive

Please and Thank-You

If those are the two events
a dime
a multiple of 5
If you pull out a dime you have satisfied both so they are not mutually exclusive.
probability of a dime-2/5 = 40%
probability of a non dime multiple of 5- 2/5 = 40%
probability of neither-1/5 = 20%

I don't understand
"My answer is 7/5,75%"
7/5 = 140%
No probability can ever be > 100%
