Hi there!

I'm not very good at math and I need some help for work. I need to find the percentage of increase from $150 to $200. Can anyone help? Thanks, in advance. :D

What was the absolute increase?

What percentage is this of the original amount?

Eliz.

I hope I understand... the absolute increase??

The original price was $150. The price increased $50 to $200. I came up with 12.5% but I'm very unsure of myself.

How did you get 50 (the absolute increase) being 12.5% of 150 (the original amount)?

if you think about it, it seems a little obvious where the percentage should be around at

150 --> 200
think about it

here's a real simple equation for finding out percentages
amount of increase / original number = percentage of amount of increase
