What do you mean by "getting" the function? Didn't they give you the function?

Please reply with the full and exact text of the exercise, the complete instructions, and a clear listing of the steps and reasoning you have tried thus far.

Thank you.

well stacy since you are using the nubers -2,-1,0,1,2 you can try doing a T chart :
y=x^2 + 2x
X ///// Y
_____________
-2 /
-1 /
0 /
1 /
2 /
so then you substitute , first try y= (-2)^2 + 2(-2) , so y= 0 , now try it with the rest of the nubersand see if you get it if you dont come back so i can explain it to you further . :D

Graph each function
y=x^2+2
Is this a new exercise? If so, please post it as a new thread. If not, please clarify how it relates to the function you originally posted.

When you reply, please clarify where you are stuck. Thank you.
