graph each functions
how do you graph it
f(x)=x^2+x-6
i need help getting started can someone show me the steps how to do this?
 :D
thank you very much

the first step that you can do so you wont get confused is to substitute y for f(x) and then your problem will look like this: y=x^2+x-6

now it is easier to solve

hope this will get you started!!!! 8-) 8-) 8-)

What you have to do is substitue f(x) by y. then you would have to substitute it by x which are the numbers(-2,-1,0,1,2).

f(x)=x^2+x-6

Substitute:

f(-2)=(-2)^2-+-2-6

f(-2)= 4+-2+6

f(-2)= 4
That's the first answer. Now you have to do that for the rest.

The simple way to proceed would be to plot a large number of points. This requires nothing more than you (should) already know.

However, there are some other considerations when graphing quadratics. Unfortunately, we can neither draw pictures nor teach courses very well in this environment, so since this wasn't covered in class, please review some of the following:

. . . . .Interactive Maths: The Graph of the Quadratic Function

. . . . .Math for Morons Like Us: Quadratic Functions

. . . . .WTAMU: Graphs of Quadratic Functions

. . . . .U. of GA: Graphing Quadratic Functions

. . . . .Graphing Quadratic Functions

Once you have learned how to graph quadratics, please attempt this exercise. If you get stuck, please reply describing all of the steps, formulas, and reasoning you have tried, and explaining clearly where you are having difficulty.

Thank you.
