Find the general solution of the differential equation
dr/dp= 2 sin p

I get r(p) = 2pcos p + 2p + C

but not very confident this is right..can someone help me

How did you get that? It looks like \(\displaystyle r(p)=-2cos(p)+C\) is the solution, since its derivative is the original differential equation.

In other words, in this case, just integrate.

Thanks royhaas...that was my first answer, lol. I thought it looked to good so I did something else and came up with the answer I posted. Should stick with my original stuff:)
