Hey! I have a huge exam on polynomials and theres one part that I dont completely get like dividing polynomials by binomials. Im not sure if you'll get what im asking but i'll try my best. Like for example a questions like this:

x-2 / x³ - 5x² - x - 10

Like I dont understand like how you know when to subtract or add, like just off the back when you start dividing everything, Cuz like i did some textbook questions in the back and i got alot wrong cuz i subtracted instead of adding and vice versa, and I thought you would look at the negative and positive signs, but i guess not? If that made sense to you, please help. Thanks :D

did you really mean (x3 - 5x2 - x - 10)/(x - 2) ???
