Can someone tell me if I have translated correctly please?

Translate the following phrases into algebraic symbols:

(a) Eight less than π times a number equals the number’s reciprocal
8 – πx = 1/x

(b) The quotient of a number and ten is greater than the sum of that number and thirteen.
x/10 > x + 13

Thanks!!
Andrea

Not quite: nx - 8 = 1/x

x/10 > x + 13
looks ok; the equation itself makes no sense:
x > 10x + 130
