My daughter told me her homework tonight is to use the numbers 1-4 using +,-,*,/ and write equations equalling the numbers 1 thru 50. No matter what I come up with I can't find any higher than 25, 4*3*2+1. Do you think she misunderstood? She did not write down directions and the teacher only gave them the number 10 as an example1+2+3+4.

It's now 10 pm and I am trying to figure this out. I am a teacher too but math is not my strong subject.

Evidently (since 4*3*2+1 = 25), you can use 12, 13 and the likes; example:
26: 23 + 4 - 1
46: 12 + 34
