*~*~put the following equations in slope-intercept form.. find what y=

1.) 2y+7=14
2.) y+7<2x
3.) 7x+y>15
4.) x+6y=18
5.) 3y-7=x
6.) 2y-14=x
7.) 2y-6x=24+x
8.) 9y-4x>x+81
9.) 4x-3y<y+12
10.) 2y+5x=8
11.)x<15+3y
12.) y-6x<15
13.) 9x+2y=y+5
14.) 2x-4y>3y+8
15.) x+y>4
16.) -6y+9>15
17.) 2y+7=14
18.) 2y+5x=4x+8

Which one(s) are you stuck on? Or did you really post your entire assignment, expecting somebody to do it for you...? Surely not....

Wow! Good luck. You'd better get busy.

Do you know what slope-intercept form is?
How will we apply the "y=" demand to the inequalities.

I think you're toast unless you are on the West Coast.

They all will follow the same method to solve.

Remember what you do to one side you MUST do to the other.. If you apply the same approach to each question, you shouldn't have any problems :D

Take number (7)
\(\displaystyle \large\\2y-6x=24+x\)
\(\displaystyle \\.....-x........-x\)

We subtract \(\displaystyle \large\\x\\)from both sides of the equation.

Therefore we get

\(\displaystyle \large\\2y-7x=24\)
\(\displaystyle .....+7x.........+7x\)

Now we add 7x to each side, to get y on its own!!

\(\displaystyle \large\\2y=7x+24\\
y=\frac{7}{2}x+\frac{24}{2}\\
y=\frac{7}{2}x+12\)
