The ratio of Reisingers to Ochsenbeings was 5 to 2. If their combined total at the wedding was 350, how many were not Reisingers?

Are these names? Does this indicate the ratio of members of two different families?

5/2 = 350
No; 5/2 = 2.5, not 350.

5/2 = 350/x
What does "x" represent here?

Since 350 is the total, how are you using it with respect to the ratio 5:2, which does not include a "total"?

Please reply clearly explaining your reasoning. Thank you.

Reisingers to Ochsenbeings..you can say are people..tehy dont say who tehy are ok..
5 / 2 is the ratio of both of them
350 is teh total

so 2ochsenbrings/5reisingers = 350people in total

they ask how many were not Reisingers...?
i'm just guessing i dont know if my guess is right or wrong.....
350 * 2 = 700 divided by 5 = 140
so 140 of teh people were not reisingers :?
