not so square roots

quick question can i change the place of square root numbers?
Example: square 18 = 2*9 9s' square root is 3 so do i write 3 square 2 or 2 square 3?

I'm sorry, but I can't make heads or tails of this. Are you squaring something, or taking a square root of something? Or both? Or neither? What is the actual text of (and instructions for) the exercise you are working on? What do you mean by "changing the place of" numbers? What does "9s-prime" mean?

Please be specific. Thank you.

sqrt(18) = sqrt(9 * 2) = 3 times sqrt(2)

IF that's what you're asking :shock:
