Today I had to take the PSAT, and I was having problems with some of the the questions on the math section. There was one that really had me bumed. The question was as follows:

If you have a number pattern of "5, 9, 2, 2, 3,", what number would land on the 602 spot?
I don't know whare to begin! If anyone knows what to do, please help me! :shock:

Re: PSAT Help!!!!!!

Sure seems silly to me...unless:
a pattern repeats (usually!), so 5,9,2,2,3,5,9,2,2,3.....
since there's 5 numbers in the pattern,
then spots 596-597-598-599-600 = 5-9-2-2-3;
so spot 601 = 5, spot 602 = 9

If that's it, then the question could be much clearer,
like: what number will be in position 602?

If you have a number pattern of "5, 9, 2, 2, 3,", what number would land on the 602 spot?
Is there no more information? When it said "the 602 spot", was there some template into which the numbers were being placed?

If there isn't any other information, then I'm afraid I don't see how you're supposed to have answered this either. Sorry.

Eliz.
