I need help with the following inequality:

Four multiplied by x plus two multiplied by y is less than or equal to negative fifteen,

or

4x + 2y < -15.

It isn't an equation; it's an inequality.

For which variable are you supposed to solve this inequality? Are you sure the instructions said to "solve", rather than to "graph the solution region"?

What have you tried? How far have you gotten?
