I am having trouble figuring out what steps I need to take in order to get proportional allocation, Neyman allocation, and optimal allocation.

Use a sample size of n=200

stats2ps3.jpg

a1= 6812/6812 +...= 0.35

n1= a1 X 200 = 200 X 0.35 = 70

This is what I have so far in my notes. I dont understand which formula to use to find proportional allocation, Neyman, and optimal.

I have the formulas but some of them ask for variance and I dont know how to get that. Very confusing! and not to mention frustrating! Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The variance of a Bernoulli random variable is p(1-p).
