If it takes 3 gads to make one criz, and one third of a criz is the opposite of the negative of one half of a gulp, how many gads make a gulp?

What is I'm not understanding is the "the opposite of the negative of one half of a gulp". Does this mean one third of a criz is the same as one gulp? I'm totally confused on that part. Can anyone help me? Thank you!

"it takes 3 gads to make one criz"
3 gads = 1 criz

"one third of a criz is the opposite of the negative of one half of a gulp"
(1/3) criz = -[-(1/2) gulp]

hint: wouldn't (1/3) criz = 1 gad ?

So would the answer be 2 gads?
Plug it into the original problem, and see if it works. What are the results? What do you conclude?
