Hi

the question I have is....

A company finds that the cost for operating its plan and equipment is linear in the number of units produced. the total cost is $16,000 if it produces 15 items and is #25,000 if it produces 30 items. find the Cost function.

Can anyone help?

regards
Craig

The cost is linear, so use your given info to find the equation of the line.

slope=\(\displaystyle \frac{y-y_{1}}{x-x_{1}}\)

Then use y=mx+b
