Perhaps you would prefer \(\displaystyle y = 2^{2x}\)?

I sure wish I could figure out where you are, humakhan - academically, that is. You solve some things, you totally overlook other things, you get stuff, you seem to be forgetting everthing. To me, it is a mass of confusion.

Your post count is well into the hundreds, yet you still submit problems with useless titles and NO observable effort. Are you learning anything? If yes, how can we know that? So far, you have shown little, or no, useful progress. A litany of problems from the sky simply cannot be useful. I think it's time for you to step it up and start showing something new. We'd really like to help you, but you need to contribute to the process.

Re: hi

Hello, humakhan!

Graph the function: \(\displaystyle y\:=\:\left(\frac{1}{2}\right)^{-2x}\)

Simplify first: \(\displaystyle \,y\;=\;\left(2^{-1}\right)^{-2x} \;=\;2^{2x} \;=\;(2^2)^x\;=\;4^x\)

If you know what the basic exponential graph looks like, we have:
Code:
                      |        *
                      |       *
                      |     *
                      |  *
                      *
                  *   |
             *        |
      *               |
      - - - - - - - - + - - - - - -
                      |
