Grade

Ok, theres a formula to figure out what u have to get on our semester tests to get your desired grade. Our semesters are worth 20% and the rest of it all is worth 80%
Anyone help me out?

let us assume you must get a G grade
let S be semester tests average
O to be others
G=.2S+.8O
if the grade is to be greater than N
.2S+.8O>N
.2S>N-.8O
S>5N-4O answer

John if you want a grade of N, as an example 65
and your other grades O are 57

then S must be greater than [ thats what the > sign means]:
S>5[65]-4[57]
S>325-228
S>97

you must get at least a 97 on your test
