The odds in favour of a Pythag-Air-Us Airlines flight being on time are 3:1.

a) What is the probability that this airline's next eight flights will be on time?

so since odds are 3:1, Prob. should be 3/4, then q (number of failures) should be 1/4

I thought it was going to be like: (1/4)^7* 3/4. but thats wrong. The ans. is 0.1001. How'd they get that?

b) What is the expected waiting time before a flight delay?

I know that the formula is q/p but I can't get the right answer is I do 1/4 / 3/4.
