Question on a cube root

I know the cube root of 64 is 4. But if you have a negative sign outside the cube root is the answer then -4?

Yes, you are correct.

-(64^(1/3)) = -(4) = -4

Or inside! Those negative exponents aren't quite the same as the even ones.
