Hello! :D

I'm having trouble with the following question -> How many 3-digit numbers less than 600 can be made using the digits 2,4,6, and 8. For one, I don't know whether or not to assume if the numbers can be repeated.

I figure that for the first for the first digit, there are 2 choices (because it has to be less than 600, which rules out 6 and 8). For the second and third digits, there are 4 choices. I don't know where to go from here

Please help :!:

Well let’s do it both ways.
Without repartition: 2*3*2=12.
With repartition: 2*4*4=32.

Thanks so much!!

For some reason, I wanted to multiply the choices together and add them four times. Please don't ask why. Thanks again.
