ways of selecting 5 Qs of 12, given he must answer last Q

I'm sorry if this is a dumb question, but I'm taking an online course, and have no help. I'm looking for a lead.

Question: In how many ways can a student select five questions from an exam containing 12 questions if he must answer the last question?

So 11C5, which equals 462. But that seems too easy...?

Why did you use 11 instead of 12?

Would the same consideration apply to the 5?
