find area, given length and width (never did this in school)

problem... find the area of a fenced yard with a length of 18 yards and a width of 10 yards.

How would I write this? I know this seems unreal to you guy's but i' am almost sixty yrs and we didn't do any of this in school.

You didn't multiply in school?. Area is just length times width.
18 times 10 is what?.

Don't forget the units.

The unit for are is "square yards".
