x+y=0 using whatever numbers i want

how do i do that? using whatever numbers i want, solve x+y=0, then graph.

y = -x

Now any positive values of x will yield a negative value for y. Any negative values of x yields a positive value of y.

What's the problem? Pick a value for x and then there will be a corresponding value of y which will give you 0 when added to x.

Also:
x - x+ y = 0 - x
y = -x

Basically, if you have a value for x, then y equals to the negative of x if you want x + y to be equal to zero.

As for graphing, again take two points and draw a line through them. x = 1, then y = -1. If x = 5, then y = -5 ... etc. etc.
