graphing inequalities

Hi, i'm learning how to graph inequalities right now. I'm having trouble trying to figure out if the y intercept of a slope intercept form equation should be negative or positive. Can you help explain?

You should not be graphing inequalities until after you are acquqinted with the slope-intercept form. Did you miss a section.

Why can't you just look at it? y = mx + b The intercept is (0,b).
