slope of descent from mountain top to nearest hundredth

This question comes from my book:

Driving down a mountain, Tom finds that he has descended 1800 ft in elevation by the time he is 3.25 miles horizontally away from the top of the mountain. Find the slope of his descent to the nearest hundredth.

I understand the formula m=y2-y1 divided by x2-x1. I asume the points are on the y and x axis.

Would the points be listed this way? (0,1800), (3.25,0) ?
And would I need to change 3.25 miles to 17160 feet since 1 mile = 5280 feet. If this is so then the two points would be (0,1800) , (17160,0)

I have answered this question this way, please let me know if I am on the right track.

0-1800 divided by 17160-0= negative .104 rounded to the nearest hundredth = negative .10
So the slope for this line would be -.10
