Solving Systems by elimination

Please help!
3x=5y- -4
5x=2y= -2

I attempted to do this problem many times and I can't seem to get it. I tried combining the like terms then simplifying but I think that's wrong. Please help me

Since neither equation contains any "like" terms that could be combined, it would be very helpful if you showed your work, so that we can see where you might be going wrong. :idea:

When you reply, please include a correction of the second equation. (At least one of the "equals" signs must be misplaced!). Thank you! :D

It looks to me like you have a typo or two. Please read your posts carefully for errors before submitting them.
