Here is the equation:

3 - e^x = e^-x

I need to re-arrange to make x the subject... could anyone show me how to do this?

This is not very clear.

Please post the exact question and show your work - indicating exactly where you are stuck.

Multiply by e^x, which never is zero, and think on the quadratic formula.
 
Yea I figured it out - you just rearrange into a quadratic and solve from there.
