The question is "In 1997, Little City Productions produced and sold 2168 thousand bears. In 2001, the number of these bears produced and sold dropped to 464 thousand. Find the change in the number of bears produced from 1997-2001, and find the change per year in the number of bears produced over this period"
From basic problem solving with equations, I the change in bears is -1704 2001 (464)- 1997 (2168) = -1704
I am starting to think I am reading this problem wrong, but I can't figure out the average change per year.
The answer should be any of the following, the question is multiple choice...
change: -1704 average change per year: 426
change: 1704 average change per year: 426
change: -1704 average change per year: - 426
change: 1704 average change per year: 426
Please help! :?
