How do I go about solving this equation? Could you please walk me through this step by step. Please, if you can explain laws of exponents? I don't understand how this is equal to (x^5/2)/(y^3)?

Problem:
(x^2/y^3)(x^1/2)

Please help!

\(\displaystyle \frac{{x^2 }}{{y^3 }}\left( {x^{\frac{1}{2}} } \right) = \frac{{x^{2 + \frac{1}{2}} }}{{y^3 }} = \frac{{x^{\frac{5}{2}} }}{{y^3 }}\)
