1. Describe a problem for which the probability of an event occurring is 1 over 12

2. The perimeter of a right angled triangle is 100cm, what could be the area.

3. Suppose that one of the angles of a triangle is exactly twice the size of another angle of the triangle. Show that any such triangle can be dissected, by a single straight cut, into two triangles, one of which is isosceles, the other which is similar to the original.

Any Help Please?

Show your work.

1) Birth Month? Not quite, but close.

2) It's a right triangle. Find one with a perimeter of 100 cm and caculate the area. You should know these ratios: 3:4:5 - 5:12:13 - 1:1:sqrt(2) - 1:sqrt{3}:2 - and maybe some others. Now what?

3) Construct it. One angle is xº. Another is (2x)º. The third angle is 180º - (3x)º. Bisect the 2x angle and note that (2x)/x = x, which will match the other x-angle not bisected. That should lead to isosceles. Then what?

Let's see what you get.
