A company produces packets of soap powder that are labeled "Giant Size 32 Ounces". The actual weight of soap powder in a box has a normal distribution with a mean of 33 oz. and a standard deviation of 0.7 oz. 95% of packets actually contain more than x oz. of soap powder. What is x?

Thanks,
Danielle

Re: Need help ASAP!

Hello Danielle:

Will you please explain what you know about solving these types of exercises. Please show any work that you're able to accomplish, and try to say something about why you're stuck.

You did not ask any questions about how to do this exercise, so we have no idea what information to provide.

If you have not already read the post titled, "Read Before Posting", then please do that, also.

Cheers,

~ Mark :)

Hint:

Use z-distribution
