10(2/7-3)=3(2/7-1)

Please show us your work, indicating exactly where you are stuck - so that we know where to begin to help you.

Use hierchy of operation - PEMDAS - and do the operations within the parenthesis (P) first.

Re: solve equation

What's your question anyway, Goldie?
Did you post the problem in FULL? (makes no sense as it is)

10 * (2/7 - 3) = 3 * (2/7 - 1)

Hello Goldie:

Denis wrote that this equation makes no sense; he means that it's not true.

In other words, the numerical value of the expression on the left-hand side is NOT equal to the numerical value of the expression on the right-hand side.

This equation is a false statement.

Denis is also right to point out that you did not ask any questions. What do you want?

(Please read the post titled "Read Before Posting", if you have not already done so.

Cheers,

~ Mark :)

Re: solve equation

your right, that wasn't the whole prob...I have another...solve & check 6y-1 = 2y +2

6y-1 = 2y +2
-2y-1 = -2y+2
4y-1 = 2
4y+1= +1
4y = 3
4y/4 =3/4
y = 3/4

(6)3/4 = 9/2 (2)3/4 = 3/2
9/2-1 = 3/2+2
then?

(6)3/4 = 9/2 (2)3/4 = 3/2
9/2-1 = 3/2+2
then?
1 = 2/2 and 2 = 4/2; so:
9/2 - 2/2 = 3/2 + 4/2
7/2 = 7/2 : kapish?
