I am having an issue soliving a problem involving logarithms and square roots. The problem is log[x3 sq. rt. x+1/(x-2)squared] x>2 I have gotten pretty far in the problem using the properties of logarithms. They want me to write it as a sum and/or the difference of logarithms, also to express powers as factors. I have simplified it all the way down to =3log(x)+log(sq.rt. x+1)-2log(x-2). The issue I am having is that I don't know what to do with the square root in (x+1). Any help would be wonderful.....thank you so much!
