I need help with the following question:

A bag contains 11 red, 5 yellow, and 7 purple marbles. FInd the probability of drawing a purple marble followed by a red marble. The purple marble was not put back in the bag.

Re: Probability help

Sorry i didn't list my theory on this problem. I answered that it is 11/16 because for each purple marble their is a 16 outcomes, 11 red and 5 yellow. Is this the correct way to answer. Thanks in advance.

Re: Probability help

No.

First draw: 7 out of 23 chances
Second draw: 11 out of 22 chances

Wrap that up.

Problem should specify the draw - whether those are seventh draw purple followed by eighth draw red - or something else...
