the sum of a number and 17 more than twice the same number is 101.
find the number.

The number is N

Twice the number is 2N

Twice the number plus 17 is 2N + 17

Therefore, N + 2N + 17 = 101

3n + 17 = 101
3n +17 -17=101-17
3n=84
n=28

am i correct?
